Thanks to Trisha W for pictorially recording her meal at TPD. Here's a photo gallery. Mmm, mmmmmmm ...

I wanted to take pictures myself, but I felt that the flash off my phone would have distracted the other diners. just sayin....there is a time and place.... 8) I'll leave it to the pros......

Wow those are really good then. The night I was there, it was a little too dark to try to snap some shots. Besides, anything I would have attempted would have paled in comparison to what Dan Dry has out there that have been teasing us for a few months...

I ran them through Photoshop for Trisha.

I don't have any problem with people taking pictures of food. Frankly, even a blinking flash isn't any more intrusive than a lot of the other sounds and sights that occur in our great eateries.

The soft opening night that we were there, people were taking TONS of pictures. The food is artfully arranged and beautiful. The Martinez's were in and out at our table (stealing the baby while I ate. lol) and had no problem with it.

Just had dinner last there last night. Oh my! It goes down as one of my favorite dining experiences right up there with Maxims in Paris. (Minus the history but only time can correct that.)
I arrived at my dinner date just after work. In fact, I was the first person seated in the restaurant. That was fine, it gave me a chance to soak up the attractive atmosphere. I must have met half of their staff. Several people stopped by my table to chat and were more than happy to share menu info. I was even given a tour of the kitchen. ( The back of the house is as thoughtfully planned as the dining area.) food service was attentive and - here's a word not often used in the restaurant business - caring without being cloying. Dining itself was lovely. I had the Campfire breakfast jar . It was ..well...words fail me. It was simply wonderful. A great marriage of flavors. I had the duck for my entree and it was very good but I must say that my friends duck leg jar was even better. It blew me away. One of those few memorable foodie moments that you will always remember.

I doubt I could write anything that would adequately describe my dinner experience. It was that positive. Just go yourself and have your own foodie night. I doubt you would be disappointed. But go soon. It won't be too long before some big travel mag gets wind of TPDS and then it'll be next to impossible to get a table.

I was fortunate to dine there while in town the first of this month and then again last week when I unexpectedly had to return. We celebrated two birthdays on our most recent visit and the birthday persons enjoyed the first meal so much, they chose to return to TPD again.

It is amongst my very favorite restaurants in Louisville. Food porn is appropriate for both taste and presentation. Service is also outstanding though I refrain from calling it "service porn" for obvious reasons.

TPD reminds me of a speakeasy from the prohibition era as you enter via elevator to the subterranean chambers. In fact, if you are required to "say the password" before the elevator will open for you on your next (or first) visit. You can blame it on me.

It was a little wait for the opening after news first leaked about the restaurant, but well worth it. Great addition to the Louisville food scene.

Every time Fernando opens a new restaurant, the excitement about it starts as soon as it's announced. In this case, as well as every other one that excitement and anticipation is pale in comparison to what the restaurant really is! Everything he's opened exceeds the most optimistic expectations. It's hard to imagine what will come next but we can rest assured that it will be phenomenal.

When I 1st looked at the menu outline for this restaurant I wasn't quite as excited as I have been for his other restaurants. However, once we were able to enjoy the food here I realized that my lack of excitement was unfounded. The combination of the space, the service in the food is truly remarkable and it's hard to believe that the price is as reasonable as it is.

This restaurant is certainly another winner in the Louisville restaurant scene!

They are having a wonderfully crafted brunch for Mother's Day, and did have a few reservations left. We can't go due to an uncooperative ex. :(
