St. James' Pasta Fridays

Tired of Friday Night Fish Fries? St. James Episcopal Church in Pewee Valley has the alternative: Friday, March 7, marks the start of St. James' Lenten Pasta Nights.

The traditional church fare during Lent is the fish fry, and Friday fish fries are held by several other churches in the area. The newly-formed men's group of St. James will offer a pasta dinner as a meat-free alternative to the traditional fish.

WHAT WE ARE COOKING
The menu is simple: Each Friday during Lent we will offer a different kind of pasta, ie spaghetti, penne, rotini, etc. The pasta selection will be offered with a choice of two sauces, meatless marinara (red sauce) or a creamy Alfredo (white) sauce. Salad and bread will also be served.

Customers dining in will get a serving of pasta with their choice of sauce and a small salad. Bread, butter and condiments will be available, and we will have soft drinks and water for sale. Take out customers will get a serving of pasta with their choice of sauce and a small salad in a take-out container. Water and soft drinks also available to go. Prices will be $5 for the pasta and salad, drinks are $1.

WHEN
Fridays during Lent, March 7-April 11, 5-7 p.m.

Cash or checks only, please. No credit cards.
