Mussel and Burger Bar Question

Last fall there were rumblings of a new restaurant addition to the M&BB. Supposedly more upscale, would take reservations and located downstairs?

Did I miss something or did it not happen?

Tim, it's very close. The Place Downstairs is scheduled to open this month, with Chef Ethan Ray, a valued participant in this forum heading up the kitchen. It got held up a bit while the MBB team was busy getting El Taco Luchador open, but it's close.

I'm reasonably sure there's been some talk about this in the forum, including posts by Ethan, as well as in food blogs; I think Food & Dining even had a photo spread about it. Here's a link to their Facebook page:

We have set opening date for March 27th. I will have opentable open in mid march to start taking reservations.

We're getting real close, and as Rick said... we've got an opening date.

ETL kind of held us up slightly, but mostly has been due to this nasty weather off and on and that holding up contractors.
As much as they'd love to come do the work, they can't if the supplies are snowed/iced in somewhere else.


Excited and ready to be open - and share with you all The Place Downstairs.

Construction is always frustrating- and that's without all the weather-related problems this year. My sympathies. :(
