new Sub Sandwich place - Holiday Manor East!

by Andrew Mellman » Thu Feb 20, 2014 2:29 pm

W g Grinders - a smallish chain out of Columbus Ohio - appears to be open next door to Tokyo Sushi just East of Holiday Manor (Lime Kiln Lane). I haven't been, but the menu looks decent, they have eight subs under 400 calories, and they advertise that everything is made fresh daily.

Anybody tried them yet?

There is also one downtown close the 4th St Live.

They are next door to our store at 5th and Jefferson. The grinder I had from there was pretty decent. I miss Mancino's

I just walked past the former downtown location. Apparently it was a move, and not an additional location opening up.

Oh. Oh my. Well there's that then. I thought they were doing better downtown. Here's hoping it is a move for the best!

I stopped by earlier in the week and tried the turkey and provolone grinder. Good sandwich - the bread was fresh and toasty with nice flavor baked into the bread. The filling was very tasty, indulgent with the mayo. Next time, I will get one of the healthy options without the mayo. :)
