According to a trusted source, it's gone, with a sign on the door that's hard to make out. (Legalese or non-English, not sure which.) Anyone in the neighborhood want to go look?

If this is true it's sad. They had very good food. I wonder how much that horrible construction right in front of their location may have hurt them?

Info from another source indicates that the court order had to do with failure to pay rent. Not a good thing.

Wow we just went in this past weekend. I knew something was up though when we tried to order a drink with dinner and they said they were out of wine....every single wine. No one runs out of every wine at the same time, so I knew there had to be something financial going on.
I eat, therefore I am.

I've heard this and that about the situation, but none of it is reliable to the point that I feel comfortable repeating. First they closed the "Fish Fry House" and now this. Having eaten at the re-located original location (moved across Outer Loop from the original location), I can say that it appears to be struggling and that quality is done both in food and service.

They definitely had a good thing going and then everything went downhill. Poorly-executed expansion is definitely a part of the issue.

Always had a good meal at Zaytun's with some good memories there...
Thinks the frosty mug is the low point in American history.
