Space available for approx 50 people once a month?

by Ellen P » Sat Feb 15, 2014 11:15 pm

Currently meeting starts 6:00 for dinner buffet ($20) and speaker(s). Once a month on Tuesdays, unless conflicts. Would like to pay less for meal. Is this possible? People do buy drinks-alcohol. Meeting in old Louisville area now but could go downtown or east. Been meeting for 20 + years. Can be 50 or more people. Thanks, Ellen

I used to be the chairman of a local group that held monthly meetings of about the same size. Ours were breakfast or lunch usually but still the same basic thing. We help most of ours At the Executive Inn which I believe is now a Clarion Hotel. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. Especially if your meetings are not on weekends when they are busier it might be a good place to try. Actually, many of the hotels have meeting rooms of a size that meet your needs so you might be able to find one closer to where you want to have your meetings.

We have capacity for 107, a full bar, and while we don't have buffet, we are under $10 per head with meal + drink.

Would love to host your group. Call Denise or myself, 637.2800 to hash out the details.

Another possibility is Napa River Grill, which has two private rooms. The larger would probably accommodate your group. Check with GM Ned Anderson (who is on the forum) for details if you think Napa would be a good fit.

Was looking at rooms for a Mexican party, and under Senor Iguana at the corner of Hurstbourne and Shelbyville Rds the lower level can hold many more than that very comfortably. Don't know about rental fees (if any) but nothing on the menu would come close to $20!
