Second Annual Looking for Dinner visits three Bardstown Road Restaurants

Looking for Lilith announces its second annual Looking for Dinner event. On Tuesday, March 11, join us for appetizers (De la Torres), entrée (Lilly’s) and dessert (Uptown Café) starting at 6:30p.m. at De la Torres, and moving on to each restaurant for subsequent courses. Tickets for this evening of fine dining are $75.00 per person with proceeds benefiting Looking for Lilith, and can be obtained by calling 502-638-2559 or going to http://www.lookingforlilith.org.

Looking for Lilith is delighted to be partnering for the second time with De la Torres, Lilly’s and Uptown Café. Join LFL and these three distinctive Louisville eateries for a unique evening to support women artists and entrepreneurs during Women’s History Month. Says LFL Artistic Director Shannon Woolley Allison, “Bringing together the creativity of theatre and cuisine is so exciting for us. In the past year we’ve developed relationships with several area restaurants, and we’re looking forward to this year’s Looking for Dinner event.”

All restaurants are located within a short driving distance on Bardstown Road, and have ample street parking within easy access of the restaurants

LOOKING FOR LILITH THEATRE COMPANY is a Louisville-based not-for-profit, semi-professional ensemble theatre company, founded in New York City in 2001 by Shannon Woolley Allison and Trina Fischer, both Louisville, Kentucky natives, along with Jennifer Thalman Kepler of Winchester, VA. Now in its second decade LFL is dedicated to re-examining history and interrogating today from women’s perspectives, frequently lifting up unheard or underheard voices. Through these practices we create productions and programming that serve children, youth, and adults in our community, nationally, and internationally. The company has grown to include Kathi E. B. Ellis, Sara G. B. Canary, Typh Hainer Merwarth, Kelly McNerney, Dawn Schulz and company associates Karole Spangler, Laura Ellis and Holly Stone. LFL is on the touring rosters of the Kentucky Arts Council, the Kentucky Center for the Arts, Alternate ROOTS and the Southern Arts Federation. They are members of 1741: A Collaboratory for Social Innovation, Theatre Alliance of Louisville, Kentucky Theatre Association, American Alliance for Theatre and Education, Alternate ROOTS and Network of Ensemble Theatres. LFL received the 2010 Karen Willis Award from the Kentucky Theatre Association for artistic excellence and commitment to changing Kentucky through theatre and came in 2nd for Best Theatre Group in Louisville 2013 A-List Voting. The current LFL season includes a remount of an LFL original - Class of '70, a regional premiere of Catherine Filloux's LUZ at the Henry Clay Theatre Feb 27- March 8, and Annie Baker's edgy comedy Body Awareness at The U of L Thurst Theatre May 8-17.
