by Robin Garr » Sat Feb 01, 2014 8:04 am

I just had this post forwarded to my attention on Facebook, with permission to share. Pierogies!

I OFFICIALLY became the owner of my own Lounge/Restaurant!!!! I have been working so hard on this, for so long.
Over the next month, The Old Club 21 on S. Shelby Street, will be transformed into a super sexy lounge with amazingly delicious small plate food items. Just know that.......This Pollock is bringing My Rittle Family recipe of homemade Pittsburgh Polish Pierogies to The Ville!
I'm hoping to have the remodeling wrapped up by the 1st of March. Germantown is about to have it's very own sexy lounge with a nice dose of edge. To my fellow Louisville Ladies....we so get to put on theeeee cutest outfits in a neighborhood bar YAY!!!
I will keep everyone posted with updates on the grand opening party......

Oh my god......I'm really excited and cannot wait to see all of you beautiful Villerz at

Pierogies! OMG I'll think I've died and gone to heaven. And when my sons come to town that will be the first place they want to go.

I'll get back to my source and try to find out more.

That's the place that's supposedly been a bar since 1887, right? The combination of sexiness and pierogies is intriguing. Looking forward to trying it out.

I'll check that out. I'll have to admit, though, when I think of pierogies I think of my grandfather Mieczylslaw and the ones he made on Sundays. Sexy just doesn't come to mind.

Pierogies? this Pittsburgh girl is there! I was going to talk to Dustin Staggers about bring them back to the Monkey Wrench, the only place I had seen them here besides my house and the St. Michael's Festival once a year. Hope they live up the hype.

A Facebook buddy who rarely gets over here, but whose judgment I respect, said she LOVED it.

I stopped by this weekend -- garage rock soundtrack, strong red, white and black decor like it was designed by Jack White himself, nice fresh fruit cocktails. The pierogies are fried and crunchy, not steamed, and were good. The fresh watermelon basil cocktail had a nice summer flavor. The outdoor area looks like it's going to be quite nice once the weather warms up. All in all, a solid place that occupies a different niche from the beer bars like Four Pegs or Nachbar, or the neighborhood joints like Check's or Pauly's. A strong addition to Schnitzelburg. Will definitely be back.
