Taste of Love Aphrodisiac Valentine’s Dinner at Varanese

Varanese Restaurant will celebrate Valentine's Day with "A Taste of Love Aphrodisiac Dinner" Thursday, Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb.15.

The menu of appetizers, entrees, and desserts will feature allegedly aphrodisiac ingredients “designed to stimulate the appetite and inspire the heart.: All items can be ordered a la carte, and the regular menu (excluding sandwiches) will also be available. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 899-9904 or emailing letsdine@varanese.com.

Hearts of Romaine, Hearts of Palm and Fried Artichoke Hearts
Topped with Snow Pea Tendrils Gorgonzola Cheese, Grape Tomatoes,
Toasted Almonds and Strawberry Vinaigrette - 9

Jumbo Fried Oysters with Mustard Remoulade and Chipotle Cocktail Sauce
Garnished with Micro Cilantro - 12

Baked Beef Tenderloin Crostini
Topped with Caramelized Onions and Boursin Cheese -7

Grilled Beef Tenderloin Served over Boursin Whipped Potatoes
Finished with Red Wine and Rosemary Hollandaise and Natural Reduction - 35

Coffee Rubbed Leg of Lamb topped with a Porcini Lamb Glaze
Served over Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Carrots and Asparagus - 28

Valentine's special dishes at Mitchell's Fish Market

The Valentine's Day offerings at Mitchell's will include following premium dishes: Garlic Shrimp & Tenderloin Skewers for $19.99, Lobster Tail & Tenderloin Skewers for $26.99 and Lobster Tail & 14 oz. Ribeye for $34.99. Each item comes with a choice of soup or salad, plus smashed redskin potatoes and asparagus.

Valentine menu at Proof on Main

Proof on Main will celebrate Valentine's Day with a special a la carte menu from chef Levon Wallace. The special dishes will be avaliable Feb. 14-16, beginning at 5:30 p.m. each day. Among the special items you might see on the menu:

Oyster pan roast; Caramelized fennel, saffron, toast

Bison tartare; Jalapeño, green apple, buttermilk

Ricotta gundi; Roasted beets, porcini, aged balsamic

Veal porterhouse; Marrow potatoes, charred kale Kenny’s blue

Seared scallops; Basil hush puppy, grapefruit, avocado, lobster nage

Warm cast iron chocolate cake; Sundried cherries, salted pistachio gelato

Valentine's Day @ The Exchange pub + kitchen, this Friday evening. We will have our full winter menu available for our guests in addition to a 4 course tasting menu for 2, $130 per couple. Here will be the evening's features...

Starter....Chile & Avocado Shrimp cocktail

First....Arugula salad, capriole goat cheese, toasted pine nuts, fresh raspberry vinaigrette

Mains...32 ounce "tomahawk" bone-in ribeye

Sweets...Triple chocolate mousse cake

All speciality items will be available a la carte as well.
