The Kentucky/Tennessee StarChefs Rising Stars award winners have been announced ( Mostly from Louisville
) and tickets just went on-sale. This is the first time our city has been considered for these prestigious awards; past awards have primarily been for the major metropolitan areas ( NY, LA, etc). Pretty cool for Louisville and our region that we are being identified by the industry as a great food city . As I noted previously, they selected The Food Literacy Project ( www.foodliteracyproject.org) as their charity partner for this event; we are thrilled to have been selected. The gala includes 15 tastings from the winners paired with 15 beverages, along with 2 signature cocktails.
