Little gas station at Frankfort and Franck ... what's up?

A pal on Facebook just posted this. It's in my neighborhood, and I hadn't noticed! Anybody have a clue?

Anybody know what's going on at that lovely little Deco-ish old gas station at Frankfort and Franck? I went to visit Matt Anthony's Record Shop yesterday (great!) and noticed chainlink around it. After years, something's going on. I just hope Todd Blue isn't going to tear it down...

Interesting ... Todd Blue actually does own the property.

One concern: If they're really going to throw chain-link around a property on the Frankfort Strip, within a few doors of Heine's, Carmichael's, Fat Jimmy's, Margaret's, Wine Rack, Dark Star, etc., is it going to give the neighborhood an unsightly "inner city" look? There's been zero vandalism apparent, even with the property long left abandoned by its owner. Hey! Does that sound familiar?

But I have heard rumors for a few months of something, possibly/probably a restaurant, going into that space. I think Insider Louisville mentioned it a while ago, in an article where they also mentioned the River City Tire property being up for sale.

It's a great location. Perfect for a parking lot.
