A really good baked potato?

by Ward Wilson » Sat Jan 18, 2014 7:19 pm

My wife has been sick and is now feeling like eating - she said she doesn't want anything too spicy, but a baked potato sounds good. I guess any steak place would work - any ideas?

Try McAllisters Deli. They use great big 50 count spuds. Wendy's has them too. :D

As Dan said McAllister's probably has the best around and they're quite reasonably priced. They have quite a few different options for toppings available, ranging from just a plain potato to once topped with chili or pot roast.

I have some in the oven as we speak!!! Sure any steakhouse would have them but Kroger or any market has some that are microwave ready which are fairly quick to fix. Or you could just get a potato, cut some slits in it and stick in a 400 degree oven for an hour. Ultimate comfort food! Hope your wife feels better soon!

Thanks y'all. We went to KTs and it was OK. She just wanted something bland and it worked. My buffalo burger was underwhelming but not bad. Service was slow. We used to go there all the time. I'm wondering if I have changed (expecting more) or they have.
