Need help with club luncheon!

by Mary Anne » Fri Jan 17, 2014 7:54 am

30ish people needing to meet for lunch on a Sunday, sometime in February. People are primarily spread between Louisville and Lexington with a smattering of Ohio folks so looking for something with easy interstate access, probably between here and Lexington off 64, although a place off 71 is also an option. We'd like a private room, but an isolatable section where we can spread out and hunker for 2-3 hours would work (we are handing out year end awards). We usually default to Claudia Sanders, but that is getting old. Any ideas please?

Not sure how prepared for that kind of group they are right now but I seem to remember Burgers and Mussel Bar having that kind of space. It fits your proximity to 64 as well.

Perhaps General Butler State Park in Carrollton. They have a Sunday Brunch buffet and plenty of meeting rooms.

Have been to a Sunday luncheon at Limestone, and was very impressed!

MaryAnne,
Since you'd like something not too far for the Lexington/Ohio crowd, maybe something in Midway or Frankfurt?

Holy Hill Inn and their other restaurants ( Wallace Station,Windy Corner Market, Smithtown Seafood) are fantastic, but some are a bit off 64 ( although in very pretty country). Holly Hill has private rooms which could be wonderful- private luncheons starting at $18 per person. http://www.hollyhillinn.com/weddings-private-events/. I don't know if any of the others have private spaces to use for an extended period of times.
