The spot in LowBrow is empty, completely. Passed by the other day. Anyone know the details?

That's sad, but thanks for sharing, Ronnie.

My best guess, nice people, good food, lousy location. If I'm not mistaken, SuperChefs had previously departed the building, correct? I expect the loss of that partnership didn't help either.

It's my understanding that Superchefs intended to take over the Chicago Gyros space and run breakfast and lunch there. Guess that fell through.

Superchefs has popped up in the back of a consignment shop a few doors down from Simply Thai on Wallace in St. Matthews. Not a fancy space, but service is friendly and the food, well...

We were there a few weeks ago on a Saturday, and they seemed to be busy. I had blueberry and lemon mascarpone creme pancakes. Oh, my. These were just great.

What I find interesting is reviews both here and on the "other" sites run from one extreme to the other, so I guess it's not to everybody's taste. We've never had a bad breakfast there, though.

I was referring to yelp, And while I guess sites of their ilk are anonymous and not many posters there have professional writing skills, they offer opinions.

Taken with a large grain of salt to account for somebody with an axe to grind or shills (for good or ill), they can be informative.

On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog.

Thanks, Steve. I didn't mean to sound snappish. I just sometimes feel like the longtime mom'n'pop operator in a world of big-box stores.

Hey! What you might choose to do with a cheap imported glass bong from India or China is none of my business!
