Sway

We have a tradition of going out to eat on Christmas Day. I'm a minister and have to Candlelight Services on Christmas Eve and don't get to bed until late. Not having to cook Christmas Dinner is a nice break. We were able to go out and come home and take naps. What a great way to spend Christmas!

We made reservations for Sway at the downtown Hyatt Regency. I really expected it to be crowded and there was only one other table occupied. It appeared to be a man who was staying at the hotel and was eating a sandwich. We were there for Christmas Dinner.

The appetizers were good. Their fried green tomatoes were wonderful and we also had deviled eggs; my daughter is a deviled eggs fan. Three of the family got the fried chicken and I had the flat iron steak. I have to say this about Sway; I feel badly they were not crowded. The service was attentive and friendly---okay, we were her only table but she was terrific. The food was also very good. Everyone greatly enjoyed their chicken and I enjoyed my meal a great deal. Sway did a very good job. It's a pretty modernistic environment and the food was very basic----but quite good. It served us well.

I hear you on that Christmas afternoon take-a-break thing! When we finally caught our breath we headed directly for Oriental House and found it jam-packed ...
