Good job, Chef - you're the best at plating, despite ...

I find my meals at the Oak Room to be beautiful, and think you absolutely won in this category. I'm proud of what you brought to Louisville with this marvelous example of your creativity.

Amazing! The wife and I thought your plates were better. We said to eachother, He won. Great job on representing the Ville. Hey man! We can cook here in Kentucky.

Eh, I thought her plating was a bit better but just a bit, not 3 points. Should have been a tie. I was a bit boggled about their swooning over Chef Richards stuff. I thought for sure he would have outscored her by more than 1 in taste.

I would like to see the Chef Richards add an Iron Chef prefixe and re-create all of those dishes for anyone to feel as if they are an Iron Chef judge. I would be first in line. What do you say Chef?

You missed a great time if you could not join us. The food was fantastic, the company better. We all agreed Chef Todd was robbed. While Cat Cora's plating was nice, there was nothing there to merit the extra points. Todd Richards, you are the winner in my book!

We too thought Chef Richards was robbed. The judges seemed to enjoy his dishes a LOT more than Cat Cora's and there's no way he should have lost on plating.

Do the Iron Chef's get a backround on the challenger's cooking style?

I have never seen Cat Cora use "dots" or "foams" before.

It is thought that she is a "COPY CAT" !

It was fun to watch!

Congrats to Todd and Duane and Blake and all the guys. They did themselves proud.

Remember that Iron Chef is about as legit as pro wrestling: The challenger rarely takes the prize. :) But our guys did great, and as others have said, if you listened to what the judges said, it sure looked like they were on their way to victory.

The session at BBC was fun, too, and everybody's dishes were great! I'm sorry I couldn't stay for long, but my dear sick bride needed me at home.

Educational, too. I learned that carrotts are "one of the most popular vegetables in the world!"

Creative Editing

To all who noted: "It SEEMED from the judges comments that Chef Todd won" As I reminded my husband when he kept repeating "he won, he won"...remember, the producers employ some editing techniques to keep us interested and move the "plot line" along...so we only saw the comments they WANTED us to see. Happens all the time in "reality" TV.

But we thought Chef Todd deserved to win too! He was robbed!

Chef Todd definitely got robbed! As noted by many the comments about his food were positive while the comments about Cat's were mostly negative. The score showed he won on taste and I also think he should have won on originality, plating at worst with a toss up and it shouldn't carry as much weight as the the two categories anyway so at least for Louisville Chef Todd won.

Of course we all know that the Iron Chef's can't lose very often or else they'd have to be replaced.

I agree, Chef Todd you were robbed. The look on Cat Cora's face after the second negative comment about the taste of her dishes was priceless. You did a great job and the 'ville is proud.

We were stumped by the win as well. Highway robbery! Plating? :P

Anyway, a good time was had by all, and I enjoyed meeting folks and wish I'd made a point of talking to more of you. I tend to get distracted in crowds.

David, thanks for making the evening possible, and I love the pretty beer.

I forgot about the pretty beer comment. Can I use that?

Oh absolutely!... I kept exclaiming about it on the way home. Really lovely. Pretty!
