How's the weather where you are? Is it ice yet?

by Robin Garr » Fri Dec 06, 2013 8:29 am

Seems like plain rain here, and Louisville Seminary is open this morning but closing at 2 p.m., which seems odd.

Got ice?

My poor rose plant is covered with ice. (It's kinda pretty in a sad, forlorn kind of way) I'm not sure about the roads though.

Personal report: Come on SNOW!

Some snow flakes have just started mixing with the sleet and freezing rain here in the hills of Northern Harrison County. SNOWMAGEDDON is on the way.

At 11am there's a bit of rain out here in Garage Logic, some of which may be freezing on the trees...but no form of precipitation that is of of any real consequence.

My deck in Fern Creek was a solid sheet of ice when I went out to feed the birds this morning.

Just talked to one of my colleagues from up North in Indy and she said it's an absoulte mess up there. They got a nice layer of ice and then 10" inches of snow on top of it. If it gets much colder here I think we are looking at the same thing with out as much snow. Just stuck my head outside the office door here and icicles are starting to form on the cars in the lot. Be careful out there!

I think the wet to ice is transitioning now on the ground. Slush balls falling from the sky. This weather is crap!

No ice on the ground in Beechmont, but if you have elevated steps they are getting a nice coating.. hope it transitions to snow soon

I'm on Story Ave and it's just now changing from sleet to snow and coming down pretty hard. Haven't been on the roads in about 45 minutes but can't imagine they're getting better.

I am off 22 out past 265. Getting some honest to goodness snow now. Driveway is a skating rink. The mommy I am working for is stranded in Atlanta with all flights into Dallas canceled.
