The only thing that is used of Chicago is Lake Michigan so I don't see how the pizza can be any good!

Being a little more specific in my remarks about East of Chicago Pizza....In NE Ohio where our extended family lives, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an East of Chicago pizza joint. I don't know that I've ever seen one that really caters to a "sit down crowd" their business model being primarily carry out. When it comes to the pie, they are putting out a deep dish product that would compare favorably to similar versions that come out of Pizza Hut....in other words about half a notch above your standard (kids) "Sleep Over" pizza (Dominoes, Papa John, etc) but a FULL notch below most of the better pies in town. Overall a pretty average product and I don't see them running any competitors out of town.
