Kickstarter campaign to fund deli movie

by Robin Garr » Sat Nov 23, 2013 10:38 pm

This isn't local, but a local buddy knows one of the guys behind the movie, which sounds great, so I'm taking the liberty of passing it along. I'd certainly put up a few bucks via Kickstarter to help these guys finish this movie. How about you?

Robin, I really hope this story gets told.
I recall reading an article 2-3 years ago about the making of this film. The point was that there was a time - early 20th cent.? - when there were nearly 1,000 jewish delis in the NY boroughs alone. Today, there are less than 100 in the entire U.S. Ah, the stories that have been told in those places!
If the deli's can't come back, hopefully their story can be told in this film.
