Thanksgiving Options: Post all Thanksgiving events here!

by Carla G » Thu Nov 07, 2013 7:03 pm

Resurrecting this thread for this year. Maybe the restaurants can supply us with updates.
I'm hoping Captains Quarters will be doing their thing again.

Thanksgiving at the English Grille

by Mark R. » Thu Nov 07, 2013 7:54 pm

We already have our reservations for the English Grille which is become a tradition for us. They have a wonderful format for the meal, salads, appetizers, breads and dessert are buffet style and you select your entrée off a limited menu. Of course everything is as wonderful as usual with superb food and presentation. They have sitting times between 11:30 AM and 1 PM and then again between 3:30 PM and 5 PM. At $59 per person it's actually a great deal for a very nice meal.

by Robin Garr » Sat Nov 23, 2013 1:00 pm

Coco Tran continues her long-standing policy of offering "FREE FOOD" at her restaurants on the day before Thanksgiving, with all proceeds from free-will contributions going to charities.

Here's their Facebook post on the event, this year at Roots and Heart & Soy on Bardstown Road and Four Sisters on Frankfort:

It's that time of year again! Join us on Nov. 27th at Heart and Soy / Roots from 11a-10p or Four Sisters from 11a-8p for FREE FOOD during our Customer Appreciation Day. Donations will be accepted and will be going to Waterstep, Kentucky Refugee Ministries, Anchal Project, and Compassionate Service Society. Be sure to share and like to let all your friends know! Last year we raised nearly $4,500 for Drepung Gomang Institute, let's see what we can do this year!
