Proof on Main's executive chef Levon Wallace will partner with Food & Wine magazine's 2013 Best New Chefs, Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman,of Memphis' Hog & Hominy and Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen restaurants, and Old Rip Van Winkle Bourbon's Julian and Preston Van Winkle, on the 6th annual The Hog & The Barrel Dinner onThursday, Nov. 14.
Each year, Proof on Main collaborates with chefs from around the country to create a feast fit to celebrate the whole hog. The evening will be a celebration of swine, from snout to tail. with bourbon pairings provided by Van Winkle.
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and passed canapés, followed by a multi-course meal ending with a pork-themed dessert. Each course will be paired with an Old Rip Van Winkle Bourbon, chosen and poured by Julian and Preston as complements for pork.
