Varanese Wild Turkey Bourbon Dinner Nov. 7

Two new Wild Turkey products will be featured at a Wild Turkey Bourbon Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 7, at Varanese, with a reception at 6:30 p/m/ and dinner at 7 p.m. Speaker Dan Lally will guide attendees through the dinner and introduce two new Wild Turkey Flavors: Wild Turkey Spiced, a flavored bourbon intended to compete with spiced rum, and Wild Turkey Forgiven, a bourbon and rye whiskey mix that the company says was created by mistake.

The four course dinner will feature a flight of four bourbons plus three specialty cocktails designed by Varanese's bartender, Rory McCollister. The cost is $55 per person, plus tax and tip. Reservations are required, and can be made by calling 899-9904 or emailing letsdine@varanese.com.

The menu will consist of:

Reception Cocktail: Maple-Bourbon Cocktail

First Course
Spinach Salad Topped with Gorgonzola Cheese,
Granny Smith Apples and Candied Walnuts
Tossed in a Bourbon Barrel Smoked Hot Bacon Dressing

Wild Turkey Flight:
Wild Turkey 101-Wild Turkey Spiced-Wild Turkey Forgiven-Russell Reserve 10 Year

Second Course
Venison Pot Pie with Root Vegetables in a Rich Venison Pan Sauce
Topped with a Flakey Puff Pastry

Third Course
Entrée Cocktail: Wild Turkey Dried Fruit Old Fashion

Pumpkin Seed Encrusted Turkey Scaloppini
Served with Butternut Squash and Goat Cheese Gratin
Topped with Dried Cranberry, Kumquat and Bourbon Chutney

Fourth Course
Dessert Cocktail: Spiced Bourbon Coffee Cocktail
Pumpkin Roll with White Chocolate Mousse, Warm Bourbon Cream
Topped with Bitter Sweet Chocolate Curls
