Happy Hours

by Pam Washburn » Sun Oct 13, 2013 8:38 am

I am looking for your favorite happy hours during the week. The restaurant can be in any part of town but would like both cocktail and appetizer or other food specials i.e. 1/2 off. Is there a list anywhere like the 1/2 off wine list. :P

Not that I know of Pam.

But nothing says that we can't start one! I can put one up like the Half Price Wine list if folks respond in this thread.

You are a prince among men!

I'm pretty sure MilkWood has some kind of happy hour, because I remember being urged to get a cocktail order in befor ... 7 pm? ... last time I was in.

Here's a shot to start you off, Steve ... Seven local happy hours in a fairly recent (Sept. 6) post on a local foodie blog I hadn't seen before, "Blue Cheese on the Side Please."

Maybe so. But the prince has to be out of town this week for work, so don't expect too much royal attention.

Brickhouse Tavern

I think it is from 4-6. $5 apps and they are good and cheap beer. I had a Hoptimus for $4.

I'd love for there to be some great happy hour spots. One thing I remembered from Portland, Ore was that the happy hours were awesome. Every bar seemed to have a good one and people were always comparing and discussing the best ones. Bring it on!

St. Charles Exchange has a happy hour Monday through Friday from 4-6 which includes cocktail specials as well as half priced apps/ small plates including the deviled eggs, Elvis on horseback, mussels, choucroute, and potato galette. Wednesday is 1/2 price bottle wine night. Come and enjoy the patio while the weather is perfect.
I’ll regret this tomorrow…

Mark,

We were at St. Charles Exchange a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday and it was 1/2 price wine night. We asked Steve H to update the 1/2 price wine list to reflect that and he graciously did so.

Does St. Charles Exchange have 1/2 price wine on both Tuesday and Wednesday nights or is this a change from Tuesday to Wednesday?

Thanks,

Doug

Doug,
I apologize, it was early and I had my days mixed up. 1/2 price bottle of wine night is still and will continue to be Tuesday. Wednesday night is live music with the fantastic Carly Johnson and Craig Wagner. Thanks for the catch on that. There are drink specials and appetizer specials Monday-Friday from 4-6 pm for happy hour. Please come and enjoy!
Thanks,
Mark
