"Off the menu"

by Vince Yustas » Fri Nov 30, 2007 4:23 pm

Here's an interesting link to a C-J Scene piece by Sarah Fritschner about "a sampling of 'off-the-menu' services offered by some of our great chefs."

I thought that Sarah was leaving the C-J, but she's given a by-line and ID'd in the article as the "former Food Editor" at the C-J.

Downsized, but apparently willing to come back for more abuse without a full-time salary or benefits.

Seems sad to me.

WHAS

by Vince Yustas » Fri Nov 30, 2007 10:59 pm

Speaking of downsizing, I just saw where WHAS84 axed many of their key personnel, including replacing Joe Elliott with that idiot Michael Savage. Looks like, unsurprisingly, ClearChannel is following right along in Gannett's tracks! What a shame for Louisvillians that more non-local junk is being dumped into Kentuckiana -- but never fear, the corporate bottom line is in good hands!!!!

Public Radio sub-thread moved

by Robin Garr » Sat Dec 01, 2007 2:07 pm

I've split off a good but slightly off-topic sub-thread about public radio as a new topic.

I can't wait for Corbett's to open...

I have a strong feeling that they will take the "Chef's Table" concept to an entirely different level than most of us in Louisville are used to....
