LOCAL VIEW is an app for both iOS and that other one.. oh yeah, droid.
It is local to Louisville altho they already have Bowling Green signed up. I think that may be because the four owners are all WKU graduates and started the business in college. You run the app and you get a page of buttons for Local Deals, Food & Drink, Things To Do & Feast Your Eyes. Key item here is LOCAL DEALS. Tap Local Deals and up pops deals for BBC, Down One Bourbon Bar, 32 Degrees Yogurt Bar and others. We used the BBC one in St. Matthews and got $5 dollars off a $20 purchase.
The great thing. You don't purchase a coupon you forget about or is dated. You just tap the deal you want where you are and (AFTER REGISTERING - I recommend you register BEFORE you get a deal.) click on the Redeem Deal Button. Bam, up pops a coupon screen that has a "Mark As Used" with a countdown timer. You do have to use the coupon in that time or it goes away. You can only use the coupon one time.
Across the top of that page are also Events & Activities, Health & Beauty and Retail Services. Each has worthwhile info for you. Hitting the back arrow in the upper left corner takes you to the home page. Hit the Food & Drink button and up pops restaurants. At the top of that page is a tab for DELIVERY. Tap it. Scroll down and WHOA!! The Troll Pub Under The Bridge. Delivers. Who Knew? The area is limited and you must order $20 but still. Downtown lunch delivery from Troll Pub. Explore and see what else is packed in to this great App.
There are also discounts on Events & Activities. Therapeutic art class. Several fitness places and spas. This one caught my eye: 90% off a Fashion Forward Photo Session from Joy Bauer Photography. J. Shepherd's has a deal. Half Price for a photo booth for your wedding or other event.
