MarketPlace Theatre Sq Awesome!

I finally made it in this outstanding restaurant. I would say that it is one of the most - if not the most beautiful restaurants in the city. We took a seat on the wonderful patio and ordered the "Local roasted mushroom & garlic ricotta flatbread mozzarella,balsamic" for starters. Wonderful taste and that balsamic reduction on top was awesome. On Dallas' suggestion I had the "housemade ricotta gnocchi -mushroom truffle cream, greens, parmesan". Wow. It was so rich and delicious. They melted in my mouth. I could not finish it but enjoyed it for lunch the next day. Ruth had the "seared sea scallops sweet potato, greens & corn, teriyaki butter sauce". The sweet potato was like a dessert. These were the big boy scallops and they were a rich delight.
The carmel cheesecake was over the top good.
Wonderful service. All around excellent!

I have never had a bad dish at Theater Square, it ranks among my favorites in the city- I wish I could get there more often. Dallas is a genius IMHO.

Funny, we ate there for the first time last and brought a client. It was awesome.we hat the goat cheese fondue, Brussels sprouts and lamb meatballs. I don't eat lamb, but the other two were good. The guys had a lamb meatloaf special. I had Hangar steak with the most awesome sweet potatoes and greens. Yum. Client loved the flour less chocolate cake, I refrained. Yes, it is a lovely spce as well. Great server, too.

Went there for the first time for dinner on my birthday last month. I was wowed. I had the shrimp and grits. Huge beautiful shrimp, and the sauce had a nice kick. I couldn't believe how massive and beautiful that patio was. Would love to take a large party and spend the evening dining and imbibing on that patio. Excellent service the evening I was there, as well.

MarketPlace is seriously overlooked IMHO. It is a great place!
