h'lo all,
just looking for suggestions for a nice dinner in Midway, other than Holly Hill? Have always loved that place and will probably go back, just wondering if there are other options for a dressy-uppy dinner?

I would eat at Hierloom. Really good the last time I went.

If you get a chance you should stop in Equus Run Vineyard. Good stuff

Totally Heirloom. Yummy food, and "swanky", Woodford County style

I believe Wallace Station is around those parts. Wife and I went there last week. It was nice! Super huge portions..

Thirds on Heirloom. Fabulous. Make sure you make a reservation - very small room.

Here's another vote for Heirloom. Outstanding food with a nice wine list, although mostly domestic selections.

Fun times at Wallace Station tonight (July 27)

Just in ...

Bluegrass and BBQ tonight!

Take advantage of the beautiful weather and join us tonight for live Bluegrass music outdoors on the lawn at Wallace Station.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets and lay back and relax on our large lawn. Or sit at one of our many picnic tables.

We do Bluegrass and BBQ every Saturday. "It's going great," said general manager Lanny Lansdale.

"It's a nice family atmosphere. Bring your kids -- because there's plenty of room to run around -- and even the dog if you want."

The band plays from 6 to 8 p.m. and the restaurant is open until 9 p.m. There is no cover charge for the show.

The music generally is Bluegrass, but sometimes it's a little Bluesy or Folk.

"Either way, it's good ol' back porch, easy listening music," says Lanny.

The full Wallace Station menu is available plus great BBQ specials featuring, as always, the fresh, local meat and vegetables from nearby farms. Also enjoy West Sixth and the rest of our beer selection.

Wallace Station is just outside Midway, at 3854 Old Frankfort Pike. Find directions and menu information at wallacestation.com.
