Uptown Cafe

Happy to see them get some love in Friday's review. We find the food and service to be consistently excellent. I like that they update the menu and wine list with new offerings periodically - never stagnant. They remodel the place every few years to keep it fresh. It's a well run operation, and kudos to them. (But about those dumpy wine glasses....... )

If I had to choose any burger in Louisville, it would be Uptowns. And Kelly Ledford is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Love the place!

I'm a huge Uptown Cafe fan. I don't get there as often as I'd like, but they are always consistently delicious. They have a seasoned and loyal staff, many of which have been there for many many years. I don't necessary think they are innovative in their dishes, but I don't think that's a bad thing. Many of their classic dishes are things I find myself craving - the Uptown burger, the Black Bean Cakes, the Linguine with Sesame Chicken and Broccoli just to name a few. And the desserts are always incredible. Service is excellent, efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. Uptown is a Louisville staple I hope to see around for 20 more years.

They consistently deliver. Chef Matt Weber is the man. The rest of the staff is top notch. Nancy and Kelley run an outstanding restaurant.
