Monthly Meeting

I thought I would put this out there. Looking for a restaurant that has a private room for about 20 people. On the second Tuesday of the month, I run a WordPress user group. We get together and talk about WordPress ( a web content management system ). Ideally they would have a large TV or a projector that we could hook a computer to. I'd love to find something in the east end. We start meeting around 6:30 and finish around 8:30

Not everyone would probably eat.

Places I have considered but not explored.

1. Tumbleweed on the River - I know they have a room upstairs.
2. The J Gumbos in Lyndon ( They close at 7pm, but am thinking that might be a GOOD thing for our needs as long as they would agree to hang out while we did our meeting. Maybe they would still be cleaning anyway?

Honestly, doesn't need to be a restaurant if someone has a connection with a church, school or office building that would donate space each month. I feel like we have a better shot of finding a home in a local eating establishment though.

The Eline/St Mathews library branch has a nice room upstairs and my book group used to bring in food (you know, run by fast food not fancy party food). The reference desk keeps the schedule. I do remember some equipment, but we didn't have the need.

Just about all the libraries have meeting space and it is my understanding that it is free (as long as you are not charging).

We would love to have you at J. Gumbo's Lyndon. The owner's name is William and he is there daily. Drop by and see him or give him a call to make arrangements. I would be willing to bet if you needed him to push it past 7pm for your group he would. William is a really cool fellow!
