I havent eaten there so cant verify either way. I have however noticed a number of local restaurants letting their websites go or being shut down despite their still being open and operating. Maybe they dont feel they are getting any business from the websites since so many people use Yelp or Facebook now?

Ive seen it recently with Baxter St Station and Cast Iron Grill, among others.

I personally think that if a restaurant doesn't care enough to keep up its website it probably doesn't care enough about a lot of other things! Especially if you have a simple website it costs very very little to have and the only updates you would have to do would be for menu changes. I personally don't trust a lot of things I read on Yelp and don't really use Facebook to look for restaurants.

They were open today when I was in downtown NA. I'll mention something to their owner when I see him. I know he was out of town for a good chunk of last week so it could have slipped his mind. It does happen as a small business owner every now and then.

A ditto to agree on the necessity of a website.

Unfortunately having a site requires domain re- registration on a regular basis. Alot of restaurants don't have someone focused on this, and reminder messages are missed. Not only can this suspend the website, you could lose your URL forever to another company ( elsewhere) , Which could cause permanent damage. Easy remedy is to put this renewal on a calendar as a reminder every year.

Just talked with Leo at Habana Blues, and the website should be back up soon. They rely on an outside company to manage the site registrations, updates, etc, and it sound like they let it lapse. They are working on getting the site back up.
