Charity Dinner & Auction - Greyhound Pets of America

Greyhound Pets of America is holding its first Charity Dinner & Auction on Saturday, August 10th, at the Ramada Inn Plaza hotel on Bluegrass Parkway. I hope some of you will join us. We've got a greyt night planned with dinner, live entertainment, live auction and door prizes.

First, Robin, THANKS for your decision to move this thread to the Restaurants forum. We appreciate your support.

Now, for some really exciting news about our charity dinner and auction:

Several very generous donations have been received that may be of interest to the folks on Louisville Hot Bytes.

We have FOUR golf packages at local private clubs which will be up for auction, most of which include a golf cart. (Polo Fields, Lake Forest, Persimmon Ridge and Glen Oaks!)

We have a Sugar Bowl Commemorative Football signed by Charlie Strong and a leather U of L Football Jacket that have been donated.

We have at least three weekend get-away packages that we're building -- two so far to Indy and one to Cincinnati.

I haven't been focusing my efforts on local businesses (other members have been doing that) so there are probably a good number of other gift certificates which will be received and included in local dining/entertainment packages that will be built and offered in the auction.
