I visited Garage the other night and was very happy with what I saw...
The place was packed, but service didn't suffer. Everyone, from our hostess to our server to our server assistant provided the best of hospitality. I recall thinking, 'this is how you do it.'
The oysters were beautiful. Sure, they provided accompaniments- but I'm kind of a raw-enjoy-it-for-what-it-is kinda guy. So I can't comment on anything other than 'man, those were some fine oysters.'
We got the sausage pizza. Very nice. I like the portion size. Just large enough where you could make a meal out of it. Or it could serve as a tapas for a group. A very good idea..
Johnny Drum and a good specialty cocktail rounded out the experience.
I really like the vibe they have working. Part Dive-Bar, part restaurant, all of it executed well.
