Taco Punk is welcoming summer in what we hope to be an annual summer solstice pig roast. This all you can eat event will feature as much local food as we can get, beer from West 6th and live music.
Our Marksbury Farms pig will be roasted in our "Yuca-tucky style": rubbed with achiote, chilis, fresh garden herbs and wrapped in bourbon soaked banana leaves. Sides will be refried beans, local chili spiked kale, spiced sweet potatoes, cordito (spicy fermented cabbage) and Amish Collective Tomato Salad with marinated canela cheese, toasted pumpkin seeds & Oregano Vinaigrette. We will have our homemade tortillas, toppings and salsas as well. Apps of chips, salsa and guacamole will be available before the pig is served. Dessert will be chilled watermelon. We will be serving West 6th IPA and Amber Ale as well as an assortment of soft drinks. Music will be provided by the bluegrass band Dozens of Dollars and will begin around six. The pig will be presented at 7. This is a family friendly event. Tickets are $20 adults, $10 kids 14-10, kids under 10 eat for free. We are limiting the number of tickets sold at 100. Tickets can be reserved by phone 584-TACO or purchased at Taco Punk 736 e Market
