I looked over their menu and I couldn't find anything that was listed as being GMO. This story makes a big deal about them listing what products are GMO yet none are listed, not sure what's going on here? Hopefully they don't use them but if they didn't you would think they would just make a broad statement saying that. I did notice that a large portion of some of the supplies such as beans are organically grown.

I know Chipotle in Lexington uses Marksbury. Hopefully the one in Lousville will jump on that as well.

Yeah I'd be curious to know... I have a hard time seeing a local farm 1.) keep up with demand 2.) meet the price.

So, I'll ask the question again. Which local producers does Chipotle work with in Louisville? Also, to what extent?

James, I think Marksbury Farm Foods works with Chipotle locally to source their food with local farmers. At least that is what I hear from the grape vine. If others have more info that would be cool.

From NY Daily News:

As for now, Chipotle has identified several of its menu items—from tortilla chips to chicken cooked in soybean oil—as containing genetically modified organisms. “We’ve heard from customers who are surprised to see that there are any GMOs in our food,” Arnold said, “but the truth is they are enormously difficult to avoid in this country.” In fact, according to the United States Department of Agriculture, 93 percent of the soybeans grown in America, and 85 percent of the corn comes from genetically modified seed.

Thanks, Charles.

Wow:

Kudos to Chipotle for posting, even when some customers were disappointed that they are using some GMOs.

If you look at the Chipotle Ingredient list, all GMO items are tagged with a G, basically any corn or soybean item.
