King Wok!

I tried King Wok in the Woodlawn Shopping Center on N. Hubbards Lane (several doors down from Kroger). Too bad it is eat-in/takeout only. I got a quart of seafood lo mein, and it was very flavorful, with tasty seafood and veggies and tender noodles! Honestly, it actually reminded me of the saffron seafood pasta at Lou Lou! I had to close the carton up and put it in the fridge before I ate the whole thing. It cost just a few cents over $9.00. Can't believe I'd never tried it in all the years I've lived a short walk away...

I lived within walking distance up until 1994, and they were one of our go-to places for takeout from the day they opened. Glad to hear they're still doing things right.

Marie, to add another nuance, Mary and I used to really love King Wok back in the '90s, but then we felt it dropped off a notch or several. Those fast-food Chinese places tend to change chefs fairly often, and thanks to the language barrier, it's not the kind of news that makes the restaurant pages on paper or online.

We go to that Kroger often also, so I will definitely look forward to giving them another try. Thanks for the report!
