Bananas Foster Cake

by Susanne Smith » Wed May 15, 2013 7:01 pm

Well we did it again. We were featured in a full page article in Wed. Food Section of the evil empires news rag for our delicious Bananas Foster Cake. The response had been overwhelming with people coming as far away as Cincinnati, believe or not, to try out this culinary (mine) masterpiece. When things calm down a bit, come on by and try what real good cooking tastes like. We also have a new Meatloaf Sandwich, a Summer Fruit Salad, and many other treats. Best to all the new kids in town. We just quietly keep on growing in reputation and legend. We are not ethic and not overpriced farm to table, no eel BLT's or hand massaged, ethically slaughtered lambs, but damn, we put our heart and souls into every meal. The lines to the door speak for themselves. Look forward to greeting the august group of bloggers that frequent this standard bearer for the foodie community with open arms, and a REAL meal. Cheers to all. Bill and Susi.

For all of us ethnic, farm-to-table loving folks, could you tell us the name of your place?

I assume humble pie isn't on the menu?

Bill, who for some reason always posts on his wife Susi's membership, is a chef/poet. He's good-hearted. Let it ride. :)

I love meatloaf sandwiches--can't wait to try this one!!! The banana foster cake sounds fabulous and looking forward to trying that too. Actually, everything at Shady Lane is great! If you haven't tried it, do...

HAAAAA! I love it. Go baby go.
If you want to reconsider we could stash some lamb in your back yard. I know a USDA guy.
