Breakfast

Hi Marie,
sorry, I was out of town in the mountains, and no phone, and no computer.
sigh......

Anyway, glad that you were able to get our guest incentive from the ad.

We want to take care of our loyal customers personally, but have not had the time or people power to get the personal touch up and running. We decided to send the perks out via mainstream publication.

Hope you enjoy!
Bon Appetit!

WOW! I just went this morning, and it was EXCELLENT!

And I have leftovers 8) I used my coupon to get the cherry/fig/pine nut turnover with fruit and the Big Dave's pastrami hash.

The pastry was unlike anything I had before. It could really be called a sandwich, as there were nice sized pieces of fruit between two pieces of phyllo dough pastry. Sweet, tart, nutty. The chardonnay icing also was incredible. The medley of fruit on the side (pineapple, grapes, and papaya) will go wonderfully with my leftover hash. The hash was made from pastrami, new potatoes, tomatoes, cheese, and spicy brown mustard. Very savory and filling, it was the perfect meal for a cold winter morning.

Needless to say, I will coming back more often :D

On NYE the place was slammed. I took DD#2 and her friend and had a wonderful lunch. Glad they serve breakfast till 3, because I had the spinach/egg wrap and it was yummy! I had the tomatoes as a side which were good...but part of me was craving some sort of potatoes. My daughter had the Mr Brown's hash and I stabbed a couple of her potatoes...but oh my gosh, that dish is SUPER spicy. I don't know how she ate it, she must have downed 3 drinks in 10 minutes. Just a warning. Other friend had Greek wrap, which she loved. Great menu- lots of choices for vegetarians. The person next to us had the warm bean salad special and it looked awesome. Next time, I'll order the hummus as it looked great, too.

I'll vouch for Meridian's hummus. yummy! And I will definitely order those potatoes next time I'm in, because I love hot/spicy food. Hotter the better in my book!

Mike-
Looks like you don't have a website or online menu.
I'd be happy to set you up with one (no charge, just a "hobby" of mine).
Private message me and I can get you set-up with minimal effort on your part.

meridian - breakfast

by Sally M » Thu Jan 03, 2008 2:58 pm

Hmmm .. wish I'd seen the "buy one-get one"! Would have been just the solution during my recent visit.

I stopped in for breakfast a couple weeks back, had a lovely, but small-ish slice of quiche and a little side of fruit. No bread or toast came with.

I was still very hungry when finished. Plate was, I think around $7.95.

Asked how much for another piece of quiche - $4.00.

Decided to pass on that and left hungry; ... then in a totally crazy, and still hungry, mood - went straight to Wild Eggs and ate again!

Yep - full now!

Sally
Sorry to hear that you were disappointed during your visit to Meridian.

We do not have quiche on our breakfast menu, what you probably had was a lunch special which goes up on the board about 11 am.

If you send me your email address I will be happy to send you a buy one get one free coupon for breakfast from our breakfast menu.

We would love for you to give us another try!!

If it's still the same hummus recipe that originated the cafe (when it was jeff's - sorry, Heather, hope it's okay to revel in the nostalgia) my mother and I prepare that same concoction and have been doing so for 12 years, as we both worked there. It's killer. Although, that is not to discredit the ten-folded improvements made since his departure. Jeff just poured the concrete.
