After a long walk in Cherokee Park today we headed across the bridge for a late lunch at La Rosita. We were expecting it to be quiet like the park, with most people at the stores shopping; but when we sat down, we took the last table in the front room and others still arrived after us and sat in the back room.
Even with an almost full house, and being the only wait staff on duty, our server didn't miss a beat, giving us above average service. She fulfilled drink orders quickly, was back to take our order before I had even decided, and patiently answered questions even though she had many other customers to care for. And when I decided to get up to get a spoon for my four year old on my own and not bother her again, she was at our table asking what I needed as soon as she saw me push my chair back. I know that La Rosita's has suffered negative comments recently regarding service, so I had to post my experience because it was so far the opposite of slow and spotty.... even when that would have been understandable.
And of course the food was incredible as always!
