The pimento cheese at Morris' Deli is amazingly good. We stop in for sandwiches and I always get their pimento cheese on toasted sourdough with lettuce and bacon. Absolutely delicious and they also sell it by the cup or pint.

The little Kayrouz eatery on Willis at Wallace in St. Matthews has a find pimenna cheese. So does The Cafe, and now that I think about it, the deli pimento cheese at Paul's is as good as any that I've ever eaten other than the stuff I make myself at home.

Really good quality cheddar cheese, coarsely grated; hand-chop whole pimentos, and use a little dry mustard and a lot of black pepper and a little hot stuff, then toss it all together but try to handle it gently to keep it light.

I like to throw in a little smoked paprika. Gives it a "I can't quite place that flavor but I like it" vibe.

I'l just point out that I've suggested a pimento cheese/bound salad throwdown before. That was during pimento cheese awareness month. This month is grilled cheese awareness month. Your mileage may vary, but I feel that a grilled pimento cheese sandwich might be the best idea anyone's ever had.

Mine has horseradish.

I'd be up for it ... not confident that I could beat Marsha in a throwdown, though!

I gotta just put it this out there, partaking of a pimento cheese sandwich at the Masters is kind of like eating a Fenway Frank at a Red Sox game.
Sure your version might be a little better, but the one I ate TASTED better at the event and always will in my mind! :D

Shady Lane has been kicking up a grilled Pimento Cheese and Bacon sammy for years. It's one of my favorites. Getcha some.

Believe me, I know - I've had it. I hope nobody thought I was claiming a grilled P was my idea!
