Nashville Hot Chicken

by Chris LM » Wed Apr 03, 2013 3:42 pm

I will be in Nashville on Friday & would like to try either Prince's or Bolton's Hot Chicken. I hear there can be long waits at Prince's, at times over an hour. Does anyone have any knowledge of this & can anyone recommend what time to go in order to avoid such a long wait?

FYI, this trip & hot chicken have been in the works for some time now, & today's Courier article was quite the coincidence!

Another place you might want to check out. Sort of the new kid in town.

I used to live just down the road from Prince's and went there on a weekly basis. Thankfully for my heart health I moved back home to Louisville, but I can honestly say that not many days go by without me getting that Prince's craving!

It is hard to tell when that place is going to be busy, but I would say your best bet is to go on an off-hour. I used to go in the late afternoon. They don't have table service so you will be ordering at window and sitting down whenever and wherever you can. I'm not one to wait more than 15-20 minutes for a table anywhere, its just not worth it to me....but Prince's is a whole different story. Chicken Gold!

Enjoy,

Van
