Highland Grounds

I wish them luck. I would like ANYTHING to last in that location but it seems to be a brutal spot. Much like the old Parisian Pantry spot on B town and Bonnycastle used to be.

Perfect.....That's just what that block needs is yet ANOTHER pizza place.
Why can't someone open a friggin 24 hr. diner or something at least different from pizza and Irish Pub? If I only had the money and the energy I had as a youthful chef.....Not the tired old guy that's suckling on the government teat that I am now.....8)

That's been my secret dream for Twig & Leaf for ages. If I somehow got money, I'd buy it up, keep it open 24-7, and expand the menu just slightly to compensate for it being open all the time. Whatever you want off the menu you can have. Nothing healthier than a fruit cup, the best local meat I can afford without raising prices too much, a soft serve ice cream machine, and historic 1950's grease.

Dan, we already have Waffle House (a.k.a. awful waffle) what more do you want? .

We actually had this place: http://www.staxs.net/StaxOmega.aspx, where he lived in Greenville, South Carolina. It was always crowded around the clock! They have recently changed in their hours and are no longer open around-the-clock, not quite sure why.

I think Highland Morning was originally 24 hrs but cut back due to lack of late business.

If Twig and Leaf burned the current menu and simply focused on quality, open 24/7 say thurs-sun it would rock. I miss the twig..

They never started being open 24 hours. They talked about it, but it never really happened. They also stopped opening up at real breakfast times in favor of rolling out of bed at 8 AM.

They did that for awhile. They rocked so much that they had to pay an off duty police officer to hang around and keep the rocking down.
