Hood/Fire suppression

Can any of my restaurant brethren recommend the best contractors for hoods and their installation. I believe that I have identified a great location BUT have to install a hood Ansel system...ARGH!

Prepare to bend over and and take it up the rear. You won't even get kissed. You're getting ready to spend a huge chunk of cash of at least 5 figures for something like that. That being said, you should get estimates from all the local suppliers ( Chef Supply, Fetzer, Dine Co.) and maybe an out of towner or two (C-Worth) before you decide. The differences in price will surprise you depending on what other jobs they may have lined up before they get to your expensive fabrication and install job.

Flame Control of America. The owners name is Ray. Phone number is 502 363-1210 or cell 502 417-4614. They also do a great job of cleaning the hood when that time comes.

Totally expecting to pay through the...nose. I got spoiled in Birmingham because there are at least twenty companies that do this type of work and the competition is fierce but still really expensive. Thanks for the referrals! I will get in touch with them all.

I also recommend Ray Smith of Flame Control. He's put in at least 3 systems for me and always comes in at a better price then Dine or Chef supply.
