I heard "on the street" that Lynn's Paradise Cafe has started calling a few of the old employees to come back and start working soon because it will be open again by Derby. Anyone know of such details?

Really? As the same business/owners, or with new owners?

I heard from one of her vendors that she had everything marked for auction and then changed her mind. There have been cars parked there and people inside the last few times I drove by.

Then I won't go there. I think she will have some trouble getting over the hard feelings of the community.

I'm not surprised. She's crazy, but not crazy enough to let Derby-weekend money walk away.

One last big cash grab from the usual visiting deep pocketed rubes?
Wouldn't surprise me in the least..........Plus everyone who would stand out front and protest will be busy working elsewhere.........

Maybe they'll change the name to Hipster Cracker Barrel or Trendy Waffle House.

True, but does this mean you will have to work with her in some capacity?

I would think it would be unlikely. ( and crazy on the part of a new owner). You could buy the established restaurant and make it your own. But I'd expect it to fetch a pretty penny. That's not like just buying all the restaurant equipment and the building.

True story Dan!! On a side note, I think it is high time to thank all of the local restaurants that have hired the displaced and downtrodden ex-employees from Lynns....both past and present. Cheers!

I'd eat at a restaurant called "Formerly Lynn's Paradise Cafe"... assuming she was no longer involved.
