New Game: Guess the product from the ingredients

by Jay M. » Fri Mar 01, 2013 7:34 pm

I added emphasis below:

Ingredients: Enriched flour, sugar, palm oil, dextrose, contains less than 2% of corn syrup, leavening, natural and artificial flavor, corn starch, salt, coconut, nutrients from natural whole food concentrate of cranberry, pomegranate, orange, grape, strawberry, shitake mushrooms, soy lecithin, citric acid, malic acid, annatto color.

So, what's your guess? Would you eat it?

I've never been a fan of Girl Scout coookies! But then, I don't like Oreos, either.

You got it, Gayle and David. I like Girl Scout cookies, but these are not very good. And, as Dave's link suggests: not a mango in sight. Weird.

To be fair, Shiitake Mushroom cookies might not be as good of a seller...

I think the mushrooms are an umami flavor - nobody will ever recognize it, but it definitely results in more appeal and higher taste ratings.
