I like Dana's writing/reviewing style. (I also like Decca, and she agrees. )

I could have done without this paragraph:
"I roam the globe in search of dining experiences that make me this happy. With memories of meals from some of the world’s top tables, it's no small feat to serve this unashamed food snob a meal that sparks such delight."

I certainly appreciate talented food writers and the way they can spin words to describe their experiences. And I can appreciate all the many travels that Dana has experienced traveling from pillar to post, and I do agree that Decca is a welcomed addition to the culinary table in Louisville. But what is all of this "all about Dana" over the top commentary. When you review an establishment it is reporting not gushing about every little thing they do. No restaurant deserves that type of bandstanding and deception as to every facet being a monumental revelation.

And Robin, as an accomplish food writer and critic, I'm surprised that you would condone such apparent 'gushiness". They way that you are constantly bashing other local critics, i.e. Marty and Steve, I'm surprised that you would think that was spot-on journalism.

I've enjoyed Decca on numerous occasions, but after perusing that review, you would think it was the final resting place for the Holy Grail.

Dana is knowledgeable, kind and ... authentic. I'll just stay positive and keep this thread focused on her and avoid bashing anybody else.
