New Fern Creek restaurants

by Richard S. » Sun Feb 24, 2013 3:49 pm

Does anyone know what's being constructed behind the Mark's Feed Store in Fern Creek? A worker at the other end of the complex told me the former Blockbuster location will be a Qdoba, but he didn't know what the new building was going to be.. We were hoping for a bakery café.
In other news, I did see the Senor Taco next to Walgreens at Bardstown & Fegenbush is open, although we haven't stopped in.

ANOTHER freaking Qdoba??? We have how many within a 10 minute drive tops from this area? Do they have no understanding of the word "oversaturation?" Per their website, there are already 15 locations in the metro.

Way back when, I was a fan. The last few times I've been desperate enough to eat there, I've had only one impression: SALT. Their food is overloaded to ridiculous levels with salt, so much that it burns the mouth and tongue.

I grow more and more disappointed with development in Fern Creek. It's all reruns, the same chains, the lack of creativity.

I haven't been in to check out 30 Red Sports Saloon yet. Menu looks like typical bar food, but it would appear they are actually making an effort to have GOOD bar food.

I saw "now hiring" signs posted by Creeker's, so apparently it's reopening. Again, bar food, but I'd take a good bar burger over just about any of our area chains (Culver's being an exception).

If it weren't for Sake Blue, Kailana, and Smokehouse BBQ, I think I'd soon find myself surrendering myself to the Stepford Cuisine out here. All I ask is for a diner or maybe a meat and 3, please?

Don't forget "Moe's" down the street near Walmart. Qdoba is to Moe's what Sprite is to 7UP in my opinion..........By the way, there is a decent Thai restaurant in the Glenmarry Plaza.

Well, the lady who runs the counter at Hunan Wok told me the building under construction behind Mark's is going to be a fitness center, which we need about as much as a fast-food burrito place.
