I love fried rice. But like most people, I'm kind of picky about the foods I eat. I've noticed that differnet Chinese fast food places around town have different "styles" or "schools" of fried rice.
1. Hard, yellow rice, onions, carrots, peas, meat. Double Dragon at Goss, China One on Eastern Parkway at Preston.
2. Soft white rice, onions, sprouts, eggs, meat. Bamboo house on Poplar Level
3. Soft white and brown rice, onions, meat. Shanghai on Fifth near Chestnut.
I used to go to Shanghai 3-4 times a month, just to get their fried rice. However, they either closed, were bought out, or something. They've changed.
And with easily 30+ chinese resturants in Louisville, I can't really visit them all to see if their rice is like Shanghai's was.
Anyone have any idea of where I can go to get my favorite rice?
