Earth Friends Cafe opens tomorrow

by Deb Hall » Tue Feb 12, 2013 6:14 pm

From their Facebook:
Earth Friends Cafe & Coffee Bar opens it's doors in NuLu tomorrow at 8am. We will be serving up lots of local favorites: Annie May's Sweet Cafe, Louisville Tea Company, Desserts by Helen, Morels The Vegan Butcher, Rooibee Red Tea, Grateful Greens Hydroponic Farm and Marksbury Farm Foods. PLUS, we will be getting lots of seasonal veggies from Grasshoppers Distribution for our specials. How about a LIKE for LOCAL!!!

They are in the Felice in the former La Bodega space.

Sounds like a downtown grocery to me. :D :D

Looking forward to being able to get my weekend vegan breakfast on again at EFC, which I haven't been able to do in a while.

Lots of good food there.

Kari,

Did they move from another location? I wasn't familiar with them- a friend forwarded it to me.

Yes, they moved from Grant Line, behind Lee's and El Nopal in Summit Square. There is a smaller satellite location with a limited menu inside the NAFC library in downtown New Albany.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what they can do with their increased kitchen space at the new location, which I know the owner was really excited about.

There is another business moving into the former EFC space but I'm not sure what the details are, all I know is they wanted to reopen fairly quickly. I haven't been over there to look.

I stopped in yesterday to poke around.

They told me this is what is going into the space where all the Bodega's coolers and beer shelves were.
