
THORNTONS EXPANDS BREAKFAST OFFER WITH NEW BAKERY ITEMS
Introduces All-New Variety of Donuts
Thorntons Inc. introduces the largest part of its new bakery menu tomorrow with the introduction of an array of high quality, freshly-baked donuts, available at all Louisville and Southern Indiana Thorntons locations.
The expanded food offer began with a new selection of cookies that launched in January and includes a Gourmet Oatmeal Cookie, Triple Chocolate Chip Cookie made with Hershey's, and a Peanut Butter Cookie made with Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
“Our customers count on us to continually evolve to meet their on-the-go needs and that includes food service,” states Tony Harris, Chief Operating Officer of Thorntons Inc. “With our new bakery line, we guarantee customers will be delighted by the enhancements to our morning menu.”
Thorntons tasty new donut flavors include the debut of delectable new specialty donuts like “Cookies & Crème”, topped with Oreo® crumbles, and “Peanut Butter & Jelly”, made with Reese’s® peanut butter cups. With favorites like Boston cream filled, chocolate frosted, colorfully sprinkled and glazed donuts, Thorntons new and improved bakery menu is a delicious start to each and every day.
To kick off its fresh new offerings, Kentuckiana Thorntons customers will get a free donut with a drink purchase (fountain, coffee, cappuccino, or hot chocolate) tomorrow through March 5, 2013. Thorntons team members will also provide complimentary breakfast to Louisville area businesses during this timeframe to gain trial with customers.
And, coming in March, a sweet and savory selection of fresh-baked pastries will join the bakery lineup with items that include Butter Croissants, Pretzel Croissants, Blueberry Muffins, plus Cheese and Raspberry Danishes.
