Bearnos @ UL gone

Drove by today. Windows covered and all the signage is gone. Too bad. I loved going their for the occasional lunch buffet.

Between Bearnos closing across the street and Papalino's closing within Cardinal Towne, I'd say being in the heart of U of L isn't terribly good for business. Either that or the little shopping hovel across from CT jacked its rents up, too.

It's a one-two punch of the forced and viciously unfair Cardinal meal plan and the difficulty of taking on Herr Schnatter on his home turf that makes opening a pizza place in that area such a challenge.

If the Cardinal meal plan was available to locals it would be a different ballgame.

Well, that stinks. Now there are no good pizza places in my area.
